His hourly rate is normally £150 per hour (no VAT) but fees are negotiable in forensic cases, with Legal Aid rates.
Standard Medical Reports without review of records are billed from £250 (no VAT) and with medical records, from £350 (no VAT).
Fees for Medical Negligence Claims are negotiable, depending on the volume of records, and start at £650 (no VAT).
Terms of payment must be agreed before accepting Instructions.
Court is charged at £650 (no VAT) for part or whole of a day (plus travel expenses) unless a clear five working days notice is received by hard copy. Where Notice to Attend Court has been received many months ahead, these days will only be set aside on the undertaking to pay for the full day's attendance.

Mr Vanhegan is on the Consultant Partnership for BUPA and recognized by AXA PPP and all other medical insurance companies with which he has been involved.
- Standard fees are £140 (no VAT) for initial assessment — usually about 45 minutes — and £90 (no VAT) for subsequent visits of about 30 minutes.
- Additional fees are charged for injections, application of casts & provision of orthoses.
He can see emergencies and other patients at short notice. The standard waiting time for medico-legal reports is usually two to three weeks but can be accommodated straight away in cases of extreme urgency or limited availability. Reports usually follow within five to ten working days depending on the urgency.
Production of a final, composite report requires provision of all relevant records from the General Practitioner and treating hospitals, including X-rays, MRI scans, etc., before examination.
